Cameras these day are that good that you probably can get away with point & shoot and you'll have taken some pretty good photos, but what if you would like to take some really great photos?
There are lots of different factors that go into making a really great photo or video and your digital learning kit will cover all these: from different types of digital cameras and
their accessories to how water affects light and colour and some great techniques to turn a good photo, into a great photo. Practice is the best way to learn and this course is all about
putting the theory into practice by going diving.
On the course you will do 2 dives, the same dive both times. The first time, the dive is all about taking photos and videos. Perhaps taking a series of photos of the same nudibranch on
the reef but at different distances or an intersting rock formation or a spider crab underneath an overhang.
During the surface interval you will review your photos and videos with your
instructor identifying things that went well and things that you try on the next dive to improve your skills. Then you will repeat the same dive taking some of the same or similar photos
but this time having made some changes which you'll review after the dive.
Key to great photography & videography is perfect buoyancy. Why not do the 2 specialty courses back to back and become an SSI Specialty Diver at the same time!
Who is this course for?
All budding photographers / videographers. The workshop style format of the course makes this course beneficial to experienced and non-experienced divers a like.
What's next?
