Learning to dive a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) unit, is like being an Open Water student diver all over again! Let us welcome you to the world of truly quiet diving where you become like them and have truly up close encounters wtih the marine life.
Starting with the Mod1 CCR Diver course, you will learn your basic CCR diver skill set including building your unit, packing your scrubber and the positive and negative checks. You will learn pre-dive checks, pre-dive planning procedures and emergency procedures. In-water skills include buoyancy, trim, and positioning, safe desent and ascent techniques, all unit checks, deployment of SMB and mask removal and replace. You will also learn about gas planning, dive planning and you'll increase your underwater handsignals and communication skills.
The Mod1 Air Diluent No Decompression Diver course is for divers that would like to learn to dive on a CCR. As you build up your knowledge, skills, experience and dives, you'll be able
to upgrade through the different Mod1 courses:
- Mod1 Air Diluent Decompression Diver and
- Mod1 Helitrox Decompression Diver
to increase your dive time and maximum depth utilising different gases.
You will have chosen your unit by now and perhaps bought one second-hand or new through us or organised renting one of ours for the duration of your course. If not, then when not do a CCR Try Dive with us on the SF2. Contact us for information on buying a unit through us or renting one for your course.
